However just thinking about the premise of being injured but not feeling the pain of it makes me wince. Beyond how much Jack Quaid's character is injured and unnervingly unbothered by it from the trailers, it just makes me imagine having his condition and having an injury that might become life-threatening without being aware of it, so I would be paradoxically extra paranoid about getting into any situation where I might be injured.
This is unusual for me because I'm a horror fan and have seen some really disturbing simulated injuries in movies while still enjoying the experience over all.
Is this unusual in general? Do other people feel this way about Novocaine or have specific movies or general premises that make them unable to watch movies no matter who good or bad they are?
