In the past when I asked Nano Banana inside Gemini app to edit a picture, I added the following sentence at the end of the prompt: 'Can you generate 5 photos one by one so I see 5 unique images one after another?'. This would result in the tool sending me 5 edits of the same image in the form of 5 separate photos just as I wanted. The point of that was to have a few edits that are slightly different from each other, so I could decide which one I like best.
However, ever since late November this trick has not worked anymore and now I always receive just one photo despite asking for 5. Sometimes the tool will produce a collage of a few photos merged into one, but that's not what I want.
