National Review Thinks Mamdani Prioritizes Trans Rights Over Poor People

Ooooh wow, I guess Mamdani’s a bad guy then.

Yet another bit of clickbaity ‘journalism’ from the National Review.

Here’s one quote that uniquely pissed me off.

‘Mamdani, it seems, wants New York City to continue to facilitate gender-transition tourism, presumably also for confused children who in their naïveté seek to undergo medical transitions that they may regret later.’

Gender Transition tourism.

Oh but that’s not all.

‘Providing supposedly marginalized groups’ expensive accommodations means fewer public resources for others.’

Yep. Apparently you can’t help trans people without starving everyone.

Her prime example is his promise to spend $57 million on gender transition centers. She also cited Adams’ $63 million shelter for trans people. That one really gets under my skin. These people don’t want trans women in women’s shelters but ALSO can’t bear to let anyone spend money to give us our own?
