NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counterterrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage and subversive activities.HOW OUR SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTAs a Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS team at Quantico, VA.Administer, manage, and maintain Windows servers 2016 and 2019.Responsible for Windows Server patching in an operational environment.Experience with one or more of the following: Domain controllers, Active Directory, DNS servers, DHCP and Group Policy Object.Create, manage, and maintain accounts and groups in Active Directory, LDAPExperience with PowerShell scripting.Monitors system environments and resources.Analyze, troubleshoot, resolve, and documents problems with business applications and hardware on all enclaves.Oversees system recovery mechanisms.Exhibit the capability to resolve issues independently.Coordinate, communicate, escalate required changes, and major issues .Help diagnose and resolve computer-related problems as requested by employees and contractors, either in person or by using remote control software.Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support .Accurately documents all work in ServiceNow.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEEDSecurity Clearance Level: Active Top Secret clearance (Must be TS/SCI eligible)Required Experience:5+ years of experience with Systems Administration, general computer system, network administration, and user support experienceExperience in (MDM) support and solutionsExperience with the NGEN IT infrastructure and enterprise class networksAbility to administer user accounts and device associations in Active DirectoryExperience deploying DISA STIGs controls and system complianceMust have prior experience with installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple types of business and end user-specific application software in a large government installationExperience with one or more of the following: Domain controllers, Active Directory, DNS servers, DHCP and Group Policy ObjectInnovative and collaborative environment encouraging of highly motivated critical thinkingRequired Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CEEducation: BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degreeLocation: Hybrid – 3 days onsite at Quantico, VA / 2 days remotePosition Availability: Contingent position pending funding.US Citizenship requiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE
