Job description: Job Category: Information TechnologyWork Shift/Schedule: VariesNortheast Georgia Health System is rooted in a foundation of improving the health of our communities.About the Role:Network Engineer II – Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Inc. – Gainesville, GA.Job Duties: Service the organization, patients, and other customers by providing a wide range of computer related technical services. Responsible for the architecture and management of critical clinical infrastructure in a wired/wireless environment. Provide infrastructure engineering services including: F5 and Citrix load balancing, Windows/Linux/AIX operating systems; application, system, and network security; and Tier 3 data center operations. Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommends technologies that increase infrastructure flexibility and resiliency. Manage and maintain QoS to enable Avaya VoIP and Polycom Video across wired and wireless infrastructure. Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Juniper and Aruba network equipment including switching/routing, RF engineering, LAN/WAN/MAN management and design. Perform disaster recovery planning and testing for highly available infrastructure.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Must have 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer, Junior Network Engineer, or a related occupation supporting critical IT network infrastructure in a highly available 24/7 environment, including experience in/with: articulating technical expertise; building customer solutions; networking concepts; walking through communication flows in extensive detail; mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and peers; WAN technologies including SDWAN, satellite, cellular, and broadband connectivity; network financials and billing; working with end users and IT staff to define network requirements for IT systems user experience; troubleshooting network infrastructure and components, IT systems, and cloud environments; communicating through enterprise scale network and network security environments; Juniper/Mist and hybrid multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP); routing and switching (BGP, OSPF); Palo Alto, Forescout, and F5 security tools; network access controls; L2/3 overlays (EVPN, VXLAN, ACI, OTV); B2B and remote access VPNs; RF environments; RTLS technologies (BLE, UWB); and disaster recovery environments.
