Never have I ever thought I’d get this in one payslip

I grew up with not much, was never the favorite child, considered the black sheep, bulakbol, and many more conventionally negative traits in a filipino household. But today I am now the one that makes the most in the family by far, supports my younger siblings’ education, provides for my parents, basically the breadwinner. For context, I am a Software Engineer, 30M.

Despite many stressful situations in my life, namuhay mag isa, survived on my own abroad, went back to PH to settle some family issues, nakakatuwa lang din mag reflect minsan on how far we’ve come.

Malayo na pero malayo pa, and we are not stopping any time soon.
