Total gross income is $2506.00
My father-in-law was a QMB+ and the letter states he must choose between a MSP and Medicaid
"You have been determined eligible for MSP (Ql-1) and you currently have active Medicaid coverage. You can only choose one. If you choose to join the Medicaid Savings Program, we will discontinue your Medicaid coverage. If you are in receipt of personal care or another long-term care program, this may affect your continued eligibility for these services."
I don't know how we ended up here. It was suggested that when he applied for Medicaid that he didn't include his wife's income and which triggered a change. I did the application, and actually, I had to apply multiple times for him.
I have applied for an NHTD waiver as he has Alzheimer's.
I don't understand how a determination was made that he had to start paying Part-B again; essentially, the part-B payment has a significant impact on his income.
I realize there aren't really questions here. What I would like is for Part-B to be paid for him and to continue his eligibility for the NHTD waiver.
Please help me untangle this..
