I've (26m) had illinois medicaid for the past 3/4ish years. My redetermination period was to be completed by Aug 2025. I've submitted the redetermination letter through mail last month and called the automated number today to check the status for them to tell my benefits have ended because of exceeding income.

I've always done the medicaid application/redetermination including my parents in my household with their income (retirement, neither of them work anymore). Prior to this year, only my father had income through retirement. However, this/last year my mother also started getting retirement benefits which apparently pushed the household income past the medicaid income cap for 3 people. So now I am no longer eligible for medicaid.

Have I been fucking up this whole time when doing the redetermination including them in my household? They don't have to file taxes because their total income from unemployment benefits is still low enough where they don't have to so I'm not claimed as a dependent or anything. What do I do moving forward? Do I start an entirely new application on the website with only my information and none of my parents'? Or am I screwed now and have to buy health insurance through marketplace now?

Edit: Thanks for the replies/help; I'll reapply without their information. Also, I guess I didn't really specify my financial situation in the original post like I thought I did. I left my job a couple months prior to this whole thing. I then moved back in with my parents shortly after and have been living very modestly though my savings. I don't have an income as of this very moment.
