(NY) I just got this email and text from Truconnect about my Lifeline phone.

Email ([email protected]):

"It looks like you transferred your Lifeline benefit from TruConnect. If this was you, no reply is necessary. We’re sorry to see you go!

However, if this was an error and you didn’t mean to leave, click the button below to keep your Lifeline service with TruConnect."

Text (7071):

"Hi! It looks like you transferred your Lifeline benefit to another provider and#8211; your line will be disconnected in 24 hours. To keep your TruConnect service, please click this link: (redacted)"

I never did anything at all. This was out of nowhere. When I click the reactivation link in both the text and the email, it takes me to the reactivation page showing an error message about being "unable to process your application at this time, please try again later" or whatever.

Yes, I contacted support via the Truconnect website. I'm still waiting to hear back. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. If so, was it able to be corrected?

Is this transfer automatic? Is Truconnect discontinuing their Lifeline services and handing our phone lines to other carriers?

Is Lifeline being taken away altogether?

I never received any kind of heads up. This is outta the blue.
