By skyforbes Alex Karp, in today's interview with Yahoo Finance demonstrated to be either a very convincing genius… or a Pathetically Pedantic Charlatan (PPC).
He was asked just a handful of of softball questions, none of which he answered in a coherent manner. He constantly derailed himself halfway through his responses by saying "by the way" and going completely off topic.
His body language was quite telling, as he kept touching his nose (a known sign of discomfort, nervousness or deception) and gesturing towards the interviewer, suggesting the questions should actually be different.
The bolder the statement, the more he had to rub his nose…
I find it interesting that for a person that hasn't served in the military, he openly brags about an institution he's never been a part of. Why does he need to sell the US military, as if he were a loudmouth general/admiral instead of just focusing on his organization?
Perhaps the most surprising argument was stating that "America is the only country in the world that provides everything from chips to anthology, above and below".
Karp seems to be unaware that we rely on ASML equipment (Europe/Dutch) used by TSMC (Asia/Taiwan) to develop our AI hardware.
He not only talks like a cocky admiral, but also pretends to be Jensen Huang.
But make no mistake… Jensen and this clown have nothing in common.
Nvidia is over 10x larger than Palantir… and they actually generate incredible profits, with a reasonable valuation.
Jensen is the King of AI, not this clown.
…..and just last week, Jensen said "China will win the AI race".
So on one side, you have an engineer, who is the most successful self made entrepreneur in human history… that fully understands parallel compute processing capabilities driving today's AI revolution… and on the other, a clown that studied philosophy and sociology in Germany, to partner with a German idiot who's constantly talking about the antichrist.
Hasn't anyone noticed that his hairstyle is a late version of Sam Bankman Fried's?
And just like SBF, he has a BS altruistic argument, pretending to work for everyday average Americans "welders, plumbers and truck drivers", which he mentioned twice during the interview (an obvious talking point)… But yeah, sure! Go get another PhD. in Deutschland, bitte!
I only wonder when South Park is adding Alex Karp to their cast.
