I need to see an endodontist for 2 tooth abscesses, likely root canals…
There are NO in-network endodontists in my area.
I called the insurance phone number, they said I could use someone out-of-network, I would just need prior authorization…
How??
How can I get prior authorization to see a specialist before the specialist sees me to confirm I need the procedure???
And is the prior authorization good for the procedure in general, or only that specific specialist?
