The trailer begins with a ‘frozen’ Thia (Elle Fanning). Her eyes are white. There are scratchers all over her body. It looks like she went to war. She also looks like an android, a ‘frozen’ robot. A wire connects to her left ear.

You can read on screen. Suddenly, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Thia became human.
It cuts to an alien aircraft flying.
“So this is your first hunt,” You hear Thia’s voiceover.
It cuts to a Predator in training. He shot an arrow. But first, what the f*** is the Predator creature? It’s a highly advanced alien that is a trophy hunter. In the lore (comics, video games, novels), they are called the Yautja. The culture of this alien society is primarily focused on honor and hunting. I do not want to hang out with these guys.
“We’ve come to the most dangerous planet in the universe.”
It cuts to red lighting SLASHING the overcast skies over a mountain. It cuts to the Predator being attacked by large, giant, brown tree vines. They’re like Anacondas. This is not Earth. It’s called Genna, endearingly called ‘The Death Planet.’
The Predator tries to chop the vines with his sword, but a vine from behind grabs his arm. And suddenly, he tripped. Another vine snatched his leg, pulling him in. And if that’s not enough, a grey and red Pterodactyl-like creature is about to grab him from the top. But just in time, something tackled the Pterodactyl. You don’t see the scene, but something CHOPPED the creature several times like butchering meat. FLESH and BLOOD splattered all over the right side of your screen. And suddenly, Thia smiled in front of you.
I like this. We are not on Earth, and the Predator is not against humans. This is a more challenging alien world. They call it The Death Planet, for Christ’s sake.
Inside a cave, “You’re after a creature,” Thia told the Predator (Dimitrius Koloamatang), “that can’t be killed. The definitive apex predator.”
It cuts to the creature. It’s pretty gigantic with hundreds of teeth in its mouth.
I like this because the Predator is the Predator. He is the star of the show. But Thia is the relatable ‘human’ character, despite being an alien android.
“I could help you,” Thia told the Predator.
The Predator lifted Thia. It’s revealed she’s only half a body. The Predator dropped her to the ground like a drawstring bag.
“Well, good luck with your journey,” Thia crawled away.
It cuts to an aircraft flying across a desert planet. You see the Predator walking around carrying Thia on her back like a….drawstring backpack. They walked around an area that looked like a Silicon Valley wasteland. Wires and scraps of metal were scattered everywhere.
It cuts to a different scene where Thia tackled a human being. That seems to be her move.
It cuts back to the forest. The Predator raised his left hand as if looking at your wrist watch. A propeller sprang up and spun in front of his face.
It cuts to inside a cave. Thia touched an alien-like abdomen. “Here, you’re not the predator,” she told him.
It cuts to some sort of warehouse. A small blue explosion knocked the Predator off his feet.
“You’re the prey.”
It cuts to a creature with long white hair and moose-like horns. It cuts to a fight scene between the Predator and the creature. The creature tapped his arms. The red sword spun in the air, but the creature caught it and SLASHED the predator right on the neck.
Oh boy! How could the Predator survive the Badlands? Didn’t humans kill the Predator in all the past movies?
It cuts to an army of humans. The Apex Predator smashed one human’s face onto a glass wall. SHARDS of GLASS exploded everywhere.
“I am prey to no one!” The Predator go angry.
First Hunt
Last Chance
That’s another thing. Is this the first hunt of this particular Predator? And he’s going on the most difficult mode? That’s like playing Hardcore mode on Minecraft on your first game.
It cuts to the Predator sword fighting with the white-haired creature.
It cuts to the Apex Predator creature with its long hair as the Predator jumped in front of its mouth.
The trailer ends with Thia tied back-to-back with another android. “We might not be alone in this hunt,” the android said.
It cuts to the Apex Predator about to attack a Giant Mech. I do feel like that mech is human-made.
