Pro Tip: Make your weekly industry digests fun

Ok this i'm mostly joking here but this was genuinely funny to me.

I work in a paper adjacent industry and there's a weekly paper mill article we get emailed mondays that's just industry news.

i passed it into chat and asked it to summarize. it of course did just as always.

then, i asked it to rewrite the summary in the style of a Shakespearean play…and boy did it deliver.

it created an entire cast and a 4 act play.

obviously it's not a full length play, but it's not like it had that much material to work with. and yet it managed to crack out something that was GENUINELY fun to read and i felt less like i wanted to fall asleep and more like some intresting information just got passed into my brain.

here's the proluge if you're curious about the vibe.

PROLOGUE

CHORUS:
Attend, good friends, and lend your ears awhile:
For pulp and paper tread a winter’s mile.
Some stocks lie low, some prices strive to rise,
And closures stalk like ravens through the skies.
Softwood doth steady, though still bruised and lean;
Hardwood grows bold, and dearer than ’twas seen.
And paper—mark it well—begins to bind,
As vanished stores leave anxious hearts behind.

truly funny shit, and entertaining too! You can try this with all sorts of styles too. i think next week i'm going to try space opera.
