Prompt that gives me mental health check-ins based on my responses

I’ve been using this prompt to check in with myself mentally, especially on days when I don’t even realize I’m slipping. It’s helped me become more emotionally aware and even catch spirals before they get really bad.

“Give me a mental health check-in. Start by asking 5-7 open-ended questions about my current mood, energy, stress level, sleep, social connection, and thoughts. Based on my responses, reflect back what you notice: patterns, potential concerns, or signs I might need rest or support. Offer gentle, realistic suggestions to help me stabilize or improve my state, without overwhelming me. Speak with empathy.”

The key is that it asks first. Some days I think I’m fine until I answer the questions and realize, oh-I haven’t eaten, or I’m actually really anxious about tomorrow. The reflection helps me name what’s going on before it snowballs.

If your mental state tends to drift without you noticing, this prompt is an easy way to stay grounded. Highly recommend.
