Job description: Job OverviewC&K Systems is seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer who will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our complex software ecosystem through strategic test automation and comprehensive quality assurance practices.This role combines technical expertise with collaborative problem-solving, focusing on building robust automated testing frameworks that accelerate delivery cycles while maintaining exceptional quality standards across web, API, and mobile applications that interact with sophisticated database systems.Expect to function as a critical quality advocate throughout the software development lifecycle, partnering closely with the product and development teams to transform requirements into comprehensive test strategies, architect scalable automation solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance user experience, system reliability, and operational efficiency across all platforms and environments.Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans for complex web, API and mobile based applications that reference database back-end systems.
  • Collaborate with product team to break down stories, understand requirements, and define use cases.
  • Work with development teams to identify and resolve defects and other quality issues, and provide feedback to the product team on the usability, performance, and functionality of our applications
  • Responsible for owning the testing of a user story (including manual and automated testing) and perform in-sprint automation using Playwright or other automated testing framework.
  • Create and maintain test cases both manual and automated, execute test suites, review and diagnose reported bugs, and ensure overall system quality prior to release.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value added feedback, as well as review, document, and troubleshoot overnight regression test failures.

Preferred Tools & Technologies

  • API Testing: Postman/Newman, RestSharp, or similar REST testing frameworks
  • UI Testing: Playwright (current), Detox for React Native
  • Performance Testing: k6, JMeter, or NBomber
  • Integration Testing: Testcontainers, WireMock for service mocking
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure Container Apps
  • Environment: Git, C# backend, React/React Native frontend

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and at least three years of progressive experience in a Senior QA Analyst, Software Development Engineer, or related role.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of:
  • Hands-on functional testing experience for Web, API and Mobile applications.
  • Hands-on SQL database experience.
  • Database automation, including test data setup and validation. Experience should include working with open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Github Actions and experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Must possess demonstrable experience in API testing (SOAP, RESTful services) using Postman or comparable API tools.
  • Proficiency with Azure cloud deployments and testing using DevOps best practices and philosophies preferred.
  • Experience using AI to develop testing scripts to enhance productivity, documentation, and automation.
  • Understanding of agentic AI and testing considerations of code for quality, security, and best practices.
