These big budget movies don't do it for me.
1) I find the acting horrible and overly dramatic. Im tired of having to act like these performances by A list actors are good. People are naturally AWKWARD and quite. Theyre not giving 3 minute long monologues of exposition everytime they speak.
2) scary thing followed by loud noise. Groundbreaking, shocking… Truly a cinematic experience. That added so much to the ambiance
3) Cinematography… PLEASE help me find something that's actually interesting. I hate seeing how modern directors are so dead set on their framing and shooting. "Oh b roll here… Zoom in on face…. Zoom in on thing…. Cut to character … I'm generalizing but now that I've seen it I can't not see it."
A movie that I would hypothetically get REALLY scared of would be with D list actors that show very little emotion, barely any background music, and kinda rough cinematography (I'm not a fan of found footage), not some marvel movie.
Gimme some INDIE MOVIES.
