We wrote a short play featuring three philosophers — Vera, Rumi, and Socrates — and a cold, robotic scientist named Algor.
Below, you’ll find two versions of the same play: one generated entirely by AI and another rewritten by us, along with two AI-generated images.
Please read both versions and share your thoughts:
Which version do you prefer?
Which one do you think was written by AI, and which by us?
Which of the two images fits the story best?
How much did you enjoy the piece, and what do you think about its theme?
Through this exercise, we reflected on the dehumanization of writing — how removing human adjustments and emotion can lead to generic, lifeless texts recycled from previous AI works, ultimately reducing the quality and essence of literature.
Note: the two images are AI generated
Version 1:
CHARACTERS:
ALGOR – Robotic scientist
VERA – Poet
SOCRATES – Philosopher
RUMI – Mystic
SCENE: A minimalist café. Coffee steam in the air.
ALGOR: Entropy never decreases. Everything falls into disorder.
VERA: Then why do you stare so much at that coffee?
ALGOR: Because in its cooling, the law of the universe is written.
SOCRATES: And what if the law isn’t enough to understand?
ALGOR: Understanding doesn’t matter. Only the probable happens: disorder wins.
RUMI: But someone ordered that coffee… just as we order words.
ALGOR: And the universe pays the price for each one.
VERA: Not even love escapes that loss?
ALGOR: No. Every love is heat that dissipates.
RUMI: (lifting the spoon) Perhaps meaning isn’t about reversing chaos, but giving it form.
(Silence. The four look at each other. ALGOR’s cup continues steaming at the center of the table, the vapor slowly dissolving into the air.)
END.
Version 2:
CHARACTERS:
ALGOR – Robotic scientist
VERA – Poet
SOCRATES – Philosopher
RUMI – Mystic
SCENE: In a minimalist café, a cup of coffee boils, steam swirling in the air.
ALGOR: Chaos never decreases. Everything falls apart.
VERA: Then why do you stare so much at that coffee?
ALGOR: Because as it cools, the law of the universe is revealed.
SOCRATES: And what if the law isn’t enough to understand?
ALGOR: Understanding doesn’t matter. Things happen the easiest way they can. Disorder always wins.
RUMI: But someone ordered that coffee… just as we order words.
ALGOR: And the universe pays the price for each one.
VERA: Not even love escapes that loss?
ALGOR: No. Every love is heat that fades away.
RUMI: (lifts the spoon) Maybe the point isn’t to defeat chaos, but to give it a little order.
(Absolute silence. The four watch the steam dissolve slowly into the air. One by one, they stand and walk in different directions. The steam vanishes. The light dims. Only the echo of the spoon remains on the table.)
