Reddit/TikTok Says You’re Doomed. LinkedIn Says You’re Hired. Welcome to 2025.

On one side, you’ve got Reddit and TikTok screaming that it’s impossible to land a job — or worse, that even if you do, you’ll be laid off in six months. You hear about Microsoft cutting 10,000 roles, tech layoffs happening weekly, and people burning out just trying to keep their LinkedIn profile alive.

Then on the other side, you’ve got articles talking about how the job market is booming, how companies are hiring more than ever, and how AI is unlocking new opportunities. So… who do you believe?

With all this data at our fingertips LinkedIn, job boards, AI tools — you’d think it would be easier to figure out what direction to move in. But the truth is: the more noise, the harder it is to think clearly.

The internet is full of fake gurus. Everyone wants your attention. Everyone’s selling something.

So what do I do?
I turn it all off.
I pick a few voices I trust.
People who move with integrity, who share my values, who aren’t trying to sell me a shortcut.

That’s how I keep moving forward.
