First Impressions

Like a spell gone wrong, The Flaw in All Magic twists the rules of fantasy — turning a world built on power into a mystery only the powerless can solve.

The Premise

In a world where magic defines worth, Thane Carver is the one man born without it. Expelled from the empire’s most prestigious academy for his secret flaw, he’s dragged back when an impossible murder shatters its walls. Armed with logic instead of spells — and joined by a sharp-tongued half-orc partner — Thane must uncover the flaw not only in magic, but in those who wield it.

What Worked for Me

The thing that worked best for me was the magic system. It was designed for spell-users, yet still understandable — even “usable” — for those without power. That made it feel surprisingly realistic and grounded the world’s logic.
