By skyforbes Would you rather see a movie with 50% Critics 85% audience or 85% critics 50% audience?
This isn't a rule but I feel like the audience rating in general is going to be a better predictor of whether I like a movie or not. There are some big exception however, like mother! I enjoyed a lot although neither of the meters are that high, the 68% critics is better than the audience's 52%.
Also what do you think is the reason for the sometimes pretty wide discrepancy between the two ratings? I feel like some movies are more valued by critics because they feel like they will lose their 'cred' if they say anything bad about it.
