Seeing Samantha in Stargate when I was young had a huge influence on my life. She didn’t take shit from anyone and was the smartest person in pretty much every scenario. I always wanted to be like her: strong, smart, ambitious, and kind. She is the reason I didn’t fall for all the misogynistic bs that was still very prevalent at the time, and gave me the confidence to prevail in a male dominated field. Thanks to her, I went into science. She’s one of my favorite characters of all time 🙂
