I had a notion for buying myself a new high-back office chair for a few years, but it always seemed like a luxury extravagance rather than need.

I already had a good mid-back office chair, which I bought way back in 2013. That was a Titan TT23 (purchased from a local office solutions supplier) which provided excellent comfort and an adjustable (up/down only) lumbar support backrest. It had a soft, breathable material cover, of which I’d somehow managed to avoid damaging or spilling things on in all that time.

I’d been using that office chair for over 12 years, throughout which it didn’t wear out, continued to remain comfortable and provided much needed support for a prior lower back injury.

That was a fantastic chair — and still is.

However, the idea of having a headrest that I could lean back onto had been growing in my mind. I’ve lost count of the times I have dozed off in front of my computer, only to wake with a sore neck from my unsupported head having flopped forward or to one side or the other.
