Job description: We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing organization in the Greater Cleveland, OH area that’s looking for a hands-on Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to take charge of performance, reliability, and security across their database environment.If you enjoy working with Postgres, SQL Server, and open-source platforms—and want to be the go-to expert for database stability—this could be a strong fit.What You’ll Be Doing:Administer and optimize relational databases, including Postgres, SQL Server, and open-source platformsCollaborate with developers and IT teams to ensure performance, scalability, and clean data structuresMonitor systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and fine-tune queriesManage database backups and run periodic restore testsAssist with patching, upgrades, and version control planningMaintain security protocols and manage user accessHelp drive IT improvement initiatives and stay current on database technologiesWhat We’re Looking For:5+ years of experience supporting and maintaining relational databasesStrong understanding of Linux/Unix and Microsoft server environmentsSkilled in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system monitoringConfident communicator who can troubleshoot and collaborate cross-functionallyA technical degree is a plus, but proven experience matters moreComfortable being on-call when needed for critical supportOccasionally may need to move or set up technical equipment (up to 50 lbs.)Bonus Points For:Experience with Oracle applicationsFamiliarity with SharePoint, Visio, or similar toolsPast contributions to process improvement or IT transformation effortsFinal Note:
