</ul><b>Compensation</b><span class="br"></span>$140k - $165k/year DOE<span class="br"></span><b>Responsibilities</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Evaluate process conditions, provide analysis, and coordinate the implementation of process improvements in the cement plants and other processes</li>
<li>Take field measurements, compile process information, perform literature research, and provide data analysis and reporting</li>
<li>Assist with improving process control, product quality, and efficiencies in the manufacturing process</li>
<li>Assist the Energy Management Team with identifying and implementing energy efficiency projects</li>
<li>Assist and develop projects that will help Calportland towards the TCC and California CO2 emission goals</li>
<li>Review new capital project equipment and process design</li>
<li>Design new plant process equipment to optimize plant performance and achieve project objectives</li>
<li>Evaluate plant emissions and develop solutions to comply with regulations</li>
<li>Identify problem areas and work with plant personnel, engineering, and environmental staff to design and implement solutions</li>
<li>Work with automation and control systems and, if required, assist with software and graphics development.</li>
<li>Assist with new process area system start-up and commissioning</li>
<li>Manage capital improvement projects as assigned</li>
<li>Ensure a safe work environment in the execution of all duties and activities</li>
</ul><b>Education</b><span class="br"></span>Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, mechanical, or equivalent engineering<span class="br"></span><b>Requirements/Qualifications</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in cement manufacturing</li>
<li>Will be required to travel to company facilities and other locations</li>
<li>Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently</li>
<li>Must be able to work cooperatively with plant and corporate personnel</li>
<li>Must have the ability to multi-task with competing priorities</li>
<li>Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Will be required to lead meetings, maintain records, develop reports, and make presentations</li>
<li>Must have above-average mathematical abilities</li>
</ul><b>Preferred:</b>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with Expert control system, Process control, Emission control and PID tuning</li>
</ul><b>Conditions of Employment</b><span class="br"></span>Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.<span class="br"></span>#LI-MF1
