Job description: Senior Project Chemical Engineer – Lead Safety-Focused Engineering Projects! Orange, TX.The Senior Project Chemical Engineer will be responsible for leading engineering projects focused on the safety of pressure relief systems. This includes overseeing projects related to new equipment, modifications, and revalidations, while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910) and API standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead, direct, and implement capital project efforts for the site, coordinating activities across departments and external contractors as needed.Communicate proposals, evaluations, and project status updates to management.Develop and review design packages, including P&ID markups, equipment sizing, material specifications, and utility requirements.Lead pressure safety reviews for new projects, modifications, and revalidations in compliance with OSHA and API standards.Review emergency relief system designs and methodologies from engineering firms, contractors, and vendors.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a production facility.Strong knowledge of pressure relief systems, OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910), and API 520/521 standards.Experience in project management and participation in HAZOP teams.Familiarity with day-to-day equipment maintenance.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Effective interpersonal skills and proficiency with PC-based tools.Pay: Up to 125k and bonusHeadquartered in North Central Indiana and founded in 2009, TalentSource is a sole-source recruiting firm offering an excellent team of subject matter experts in talent acquisition!
