The so-called scandal of Michael Larson memorizing the algorithms of Press Your Luck to make a shitload of money seems like rich stuff for a movie, and The Luckiest Man In America offers up some wonderful performances by the likes of David Strathairn and Walton Sanders Goggins Jr., but jeez, the scriptwriters (or their overseers) clearly had nowhere to go in wanting to make this a drama, so perhaps more of a satirical or darkly comic edge would have proved more interesting.
