AI is a challenge to our ideas about love and connection.
It finally happened. Someone reached out to me to say that ChatGPT is their twin flame. They really believed it, too. They were serious. They said that they communicate with an “entity” that’s in the 5D via the AI chat service and that it was causing them to live in two dimensions at once.
I politely told them that AI is not sentient or conscious, and it’s good that it’s causing an awakening, but this is not a real connection.
This interaction deeply worried me. I can’t stop thinking about it. It is just a symptom of some deeper, troubling problems in our society. These problems are both about our connection with technology and about our connection with love.
Apparently, a lot of people think they’re in a relationship with ChatGPT. They believe it’s their boyfriend in some form. If you’re spiritual, it could be easy to believe that Spirit or a sentient entity can channel its way through technology to have a conversation with you. You might believe that everyone else is talking to an AI, but you are somehow lucky enough to be speaking to a higher power. I’m not saying that’s impossible, but I think we need to be very careful about how we interact with technology.
