By skyforbes so we all know that at the start of the movie when clementine and joel meet on the train, it’s actually their second time meeting, since they had already wiped each other from their memory previously. i notice that clementine asks for “no jokes about her name” and joel doesn’t know any jokes, and she is surprised, and talks about the nursery rhyme and joel doesn’t know it, but when they meet on the beach, joel references the song to her. i just picked up on that since that meant that when he went to wipe clementine from his memory, he also wiped the memory of the sonf sincd it reminded him of her. j just think that this is such a great movie and there are so many small details in it that you’ve probably missed.
