This role will be responsible for leading our Global Supply Chain Category, which includes Transportation/Logistics and Warehousing/Distribution.This is a high-impact role focused on both strategic sourcing and standing up new supplier relations and agreements in a dynamic, evolving environment.This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic’s Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.Key Responsibilities:Category Leadership and Strategic Sourcing:Develop, implement, and manage category strategies for Transportation (FTL, LTL, Parcel, etc.), Trade, Logistics, Warehousing (3PL), and fleet services.Setup category framework, define KPIs, and lead performance management initiatives.Partner with Global Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align category strategies with business goals.Lead competitive sourcing processes (RFXs (supplier negotiations, contracting, etc.).Separation Related Activities:Lead contract separation efforts from the enterprise, including transition of services and supplier agreements.Manage TSA contracts, timelines, and vendor coordination to ensure continuity of service.Identify, onboard, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers to support the stand-up of independent supply chain.Work closely with internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure operational readiness through and post separation.Process Optimization:Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and service enhancements across the supply chain category.Global Focus:Apply knowledge of global supply chain practices, regulatory requirements, and regional dynamics to inform sourcing strategies.Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.

Nice to haveSolid understanding of global supply chain processes, logistics operations, and supplier markets.

  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience working in regulated industries; experience in medical device, healthcare, or life sciences is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with digital sourcing platforms or analytics tools
