1. Visi and the leaderboard. I really wasn't sold on Visi yet, especially after the strong impression Blazer left on me in Episode 1, but this moment of vulnerability hit me. Yes, Courtney. You DID make a difference. You should be proud. It's all carried by Laura Bailey's amazing performance too, she conveys Visi's emotions with that simple "Thanks" very well.
2. Golem saving Robert and Waterboy standing up to Flambae. I was already very endeared to Golem and how he's like a big kid, but how he came in clutch to save Robert actually had me hollering! "YUUUUUUHHHH BIG BOY GOLEM!" And then Waterboy putting his dukes up and putting out Flambae's flames, not for himself, but for Robert, I was hollering again 'YEAAAAAHHH THAT'S MY SON BEING BRAVE!"
3. Sonar thanking Robert. I could tell Sonar had a good heart despite being a crypto bro, so him just pulling aside Robert and being shy but still pushing himself to talk because he feels he NEEDS to tell Robert he appreciates him keeping him on the team just hit me. You are a winner, victor!
4. Coupe's Second Wind. If you cut Sonar, Coupe will start being more openly grateful, but in a more reserved way. Until the final Dispatch, where if she's downed, you'll get this gem.
Coupe: Robert, I feel… weak.
Robert: Come on, Coop! We need you to hold it together just a little longer!
Coupe: "Need"? Funny… I have never been "needed" like this before.
Robert: Feels weird, right?
Coupe: It does. But in a good way…
Robert: Think you can fight a little longer?
Coupe: For them? Always.
COOP I AM SO SORRY I MISJUDGED YOU YOU DESERVE YOUR CHANCE AND YOU'RE A REAL HERO-Ahem, sorry, I am emotional.
5. Punch Up Punches Up. Proabably the funniest and most hype moment in the game. Sorry, Punch Up's amazing.
6. Flambae's Growth. Assholes that reflect on their actions with honesty and introspaction so they change the way they act in a way that stays true to their character? Flambae, my beloved flaming homosexual, You went into Top 3 characters in Dispatch just for that. Love you, bitch.
7. Keep Up. Do I even have to explain why? No, but I will anyway! Chase, after talkimg with Robert and getting over his black and white mentality about good and evil, realises he was being unfair to Visi. He remembers why he was a hero in the first place – because it's the right thing to do. Robert was right about Chase having a similar vibe to Visi in more ways than one. Both Chase and Visi made a mistake that hurt someone, Visi with the bomb and Chase with his outburst. In this moment, he becomes Track Star one last time, in order to right his wrong, just like how Visi tried to right her wrong by taking back the Astral Pulse.
8. The Infirmary. I love, love, LOVE it when characters show vulnerability. So you can imagine this scene DESTROYED ME. I shared Robert's situation with a close family member, and it just hurt… Seeing Robert try to hold himself together by replaying memories, until he can't anymore and breaks down… It hurt, man. I never felt closer to Robert before or since.
AND ON TOP OF THAT! WE GET THIS?!?!? I tell you, I audibly gasped when Blazer kissed Robert's hand. This has to be one of the most tender moments I have ever seen in a videogame. In this bleak moment, she shows Robert unconditional support and love in one gesture. THIS MOMENT, MAN! MY KNEES HIT THE GROUND AT MACH FUCKING 10, TEARS IN MY EYES AND EVERYTHING. I always liked Mandy, I love Pure Good characters like Blazer and Superman and Optimus Prime, so I always gravitated towards them. But this? This is what made me go from liking her to adoring her.
That's all I got! What moment hit you the most, funny, emotional or otherwise?
