The reason I think why Sam has only posted a date and not said she got married to Raj.

The reason is legal. Samantha has shared a few photos and a date as caption on her ‘wedding’ pics instead of writing that she is married to Raj. If rumours are true and Raj is still married his first wife can drag him to court for bigamy. So neither Sam or Raj are calling it a wedding or marriage ceremony. This is done to exploit a legal loophole, if a court asks Raj he can always say they went to a temple on 1st December and that he hasn’t married Sam. Going to an event or a temple with a woman isn’t illegal for a married man. So neither will call it a marriage till Raj isn’t officially divorced.

Lawyers often suggest this as a middle path when a married man is desperate to get married a second time, one of my friends who was in a bad divorce few years back was simply told to get married and declare it only as an engagement and to not register the second marriage till his divorce comes through.

In fact even Raj’s sister Sheetal has made a long post about this ‘gentle alignment’ when she could have simply said this was a marriage ceremony. Funnily Raj hasn’t shared any photos online.

So this is an old tactic used by lawyers. I have a feeling Sam and Raj’s marriage is not even registered yet which they will do at a later date after his divorce comes through.

I really hope his first wife has decent lawyers who take this guy to the cleaners. Or she simply doesn’t divorce him and Sam never gets the official married status.
