By skyforbes First off, they make Ron (the husband) a literal IDIOT??! he’s farting, ranting, throwing up, whining every time he speaks. this character is so stupid and for what reason? to make us ship the wife with her ex fiance? not to mention how she never once, comforted him or expressed her love to Ron when he was clearly jealous and shellshocked after finding out she had a whole previous life and ex fiance..
the kids? have the most GENERIC and annoying character personalities. u have the bratty teenage girl and the quirky weird brother. Clancy (the teenage daughter) pisses me the hell off, it’s the classic shtick of hating her mom and embarrassing her brother in front of anyone. and perhaps the most idiotic thing ever, instead of having the witness protection agents find and save her mom, she decides it’d be the most smartest idea for HER and her KID brother and friends to save her parents? against gunmen?? what stupid shit is this
also, you just find out ur parents were kidnapped, u jumped in the ocean to swim, you’ve stolen a car and handcuffed a woman and tied up a man, all this to save ur parents and u…. can’t play the cello infront of people??? gtfo lmfao
again, i understand this is all for the plot and if i’m being honest, i don’t even mind these plot choices: what pisses me off is the way they go about putting them into play. they do it in the most stupid, cringey way, with no common sense involved. the movie couldve made the witness protection seem 100% useless in finding their parents; making the kids decision to find them themselves, make sense. but no. they literally don’t both creating depth or explanations. just simply making the kids and parents do stupid shit.
i still have 30 min left and im sure there’s gonna be SO much more that pisses me off but alas i’ll end it here. again, i understand this is a kids movie, i watch kids movies all the time but i wouldn’t dare show this crap to my kids lmfao (they honestly would hate it anyways)
