Yes, there are legitimate expenses we should make, but others are a waste of money. In this article, I’m sharing the top five things indie authors waste their money on — according to ChatGPT — because I want to help you avoid pitfalls many of us have fallen prey to, so you can make a profit sooner.

I understand the appeal of these businesses because they make it sound like they’re doing us a huge favour. But I’ve heard of authors who have had bad experiences with vanity publishers. And honestly, they’re not required.
