“There was a problem getting a response” all day everyday (VS Code/Gemini)

I like Gemini but I am getting frustrated with every time I try to use it VS Code, I get the attached error. It's not just once. It's every time I use it. It will run fine for a bit and then the error happens. This happens on my PC, MacBook, and my work PC. Has anyone else experienced this?

For example, I was using it this morning on a project and the error occurred twice completely stopping progress. I restarted and did it's thing for 5 minutes and then the error happened again. Progress stopped. Had to restart.
