This Introverted Pastry Chef had over 900 followers on TikTok but zero visibility & sales

I used this Simple Funnel strategy to change the situation

Client — Shalom

When I first spoke with Shalom, the founder of BakePire, she had almost given up on her TikTok.

She had over 900 followers on the account but was still invisible on the app.

No one was buying from her because quite frankly no one knew she or her brand existed.

After a few conversations, I started to see where the real issue was coming from.

The Problem:

Shalom is quite introverted and it was affecting her content creation process.

She complained of not being consistent because she always ran out of things to post and her inconsistency made the algorithm unfriendly towards her posts.

Next, her presentation was boring. She was posting bland pictures of her cake without any nice hooks and so no one was paying attention.

Ultimately, she’s a great baker, but honestly no one cares how good you are unless you can make them pay attention.

And this is where my funnel came in.

The Strategy:

My first goal was to pull her page out of the trenches and position the brand as “small but mighty” so people would pay attention.

So I built a funnel — a simple, clear system for visibility → engagement → conversion.

A breakdown:

1️⃣ Visibility:

I created a content plan she could easily follow.

She also got a product— 100 Hooks You Can Use for Any Post — to help her create engaging faceless content that actually attracts attention.

She no longer needed to rack up her brain for ideas. Just copy and paste.

2️⃣ Engagement:

She wanted to sell on WhatsApp not TikTok, but she didn’t have up to 1,000 followers yet (meaning no access to clickable links), so instead of buying followers, we ran ads with less than ₦3,500.

Within 48 hours, her followers grew from 900 to over 1,045, which unlocked the clickable link feature and brought in new leads she could publicize her business to.

3️⃣ Conversions:

To get her target audience to her WhatsApp, we needed bait and so I showed her how to create a lead magnet. It was a small downloadable PDF: “Easy Breakfast Recipes You Can Bake at Home.”

This helped attract people interested in baking or ordering baked goods so she could nurture them and eventually sell.

Once the strategy was ready, the next step was to create content consistently, track what performed well, and boost top-performing videos for even wider reach.

The Results:

Because of the nature of TikTok’s algorithm, the results came in fast:

✅ Her follower count continued to increase
✅ Her content started reaching a wider audience.
✅ Engagement went up noticeably, and for the first time, new people began discovering the brand.

Even though we worked with a very tight budget, the strategy was potent enough to keep things running smoothly.

The Takeaways:

1️⃣ Visibility is not about followers. You can have numbers and still not get results because you are invisible.

2️⃣ Content presentation is everything. How you package what you post can make all the difference.

If you want to get people’s attention and make them care, you need to stop using boring hooks & captions

3️⃣ You don’t need a huge budget to grow. All we spent was less than N3,500 and yet the results were evident.

Stop saying you need a lot of money for ads before you can grow. What you need is the right funnel.

Wrapping Up:

There’s potential for any and every business to grow on social media once the right conditions are in place.

Once you can fix the issue of visibility and engagement, sales will eventually follow.
