TN- What if I don’t get an Advantage plan?

I had a most unpleasantly coercive Advantage contractor pay me a visit. I had informed him by phone that I can't have an Advantage plan because I see specialists at Mayo Clinic, where Advantage plans aren't accepted (they send out a letter stating this in no uncertain terms). To this he said, "this is something else", and against my better judgement I accepted his self-invitation to visit me at home.

I realized pretty quickly that this was indeed about Advantage plans, and tried to get more information from him– others of these contractors had been forthright and transparent about what they were offering. But he kept deflecting my questions. One thing he kept repeating was that without the Advantage plan I "won't have health coverage" through Medicaid. I thought he meant the Hearing, Vision, and Dental that he kept referring to. But I never received a Medicaid card when I switched in … June? And when I try to request one on the website, it redirects to the claims page. I think MAYBE it's because they recycled my member ID from a previous one; they don't show current claims but I've certainly had providers recently able to accept/begin processing the account information.

;TLDR… Do/will I have to have an Advantage plan in order to use Medicaid as my secondary insurance?
