Such was the case with Grace Wolstenholme, who has a following of over 1.3 million fans on TikTok: Her supposed death, among more than 650,000 views of the entire video on the subject, gave panic among her fans. The video is in the most deaths of people, who mourned without knowing she is alive ¹.
Wolstenholme, a woman suffering from cerebral palsy, said such hoaxes ridicule her and, generally, all disabled persons. Wolstenholme added further that they should, through social media, assign weight to credibility for such rumors so that wings will not be assigned so fast to them ².
Reasons Behind A Death Hoax:
Another was David Baerten: The Belgian TikToker faked his death and helicoptered into his own funeral. He said he made up the hoax to see who really cared about him. Most of the negative commentators would take that an awful insensitive way to seek attention ³.
