Indoor plant stands uplift the look of your plants and your home.
I am a strong believer in the use of indoor plants to enhance our surroundings.
Several studies have demonstrated the many beneficial, both physical and mental, effects of indoor plants on us;
Indoor plants drastically reduce air toxins; create a soothing and relaxing environment; and they make us happy! (This explain the #plantsmakepeoplehappy 1.2+ millions followers and the many green profiles on Instagram!).
What fascinates me most about plants, and in particular cacti and succulents, is their intricate and complex natural shapes and how well they integrate with interiors.
It’s interesting how Designers in general, whether they are Architects, Interior Designers or Decorators either hate or love plants as part of an interior space.
One of the Partners Architect in the first job I had, used to hate seeing plants in interiors photo shots. He was convinced the green of the plant was interfering with all the other colours and materials in the surrounding space. He was also convinced that the plant shape was not in harmony with the architectural composition of the space.
I totally respected that! By default, I’ve always made sure I communicated to all the photographers taking shots of interiors I worked on to remove all plants before taking pictures!!
Then, I moved on to a different Architectural Firm that had embraced plants as part of their interiors. It was then that I learned, that there is a plant for every environment. This is an analogy that applies to many instances in life…
For example, a tall and skinny Euphorbia cactus perfectly suits minimalists and ultra modern interiors, and a modular series of tall Mexican Post cacti suits its exteriors.
On the other hand, a Monstera plant is perfect for a bohemian style space.
The beauty of using plants to decorate your home and enhance the quality of your space is that you can be creative in the way you display your plants. You can either buy beautiful and unique pots; you can adapt them to wall art, (Refer to my Blog on “10 Plants Wall Decor Ideas for Your Home” for more on this topic), or you can place them on interesting and creative indoor plant stands, which is the main topic of this Blog!
Let’s explore the different types of Indoor Plant Stands you can use to decorate your home in a tasteful, yet cost effective way!
(By no mean, this is an exhaustive list and description of all Indoor Plant Stands types, ideas and projects.
