If you watch the teaser trailer for Elio, it differs almost entirely from the film. The main character is abducted against his will, whereas in the theatrical release he's willing and wanting to be abducted, and I'm pretty sure the woman in the film is his mother and not his aunt.
Rogue One also had extensive reshoots from the teaser trailer to the final film release, notably the main character didn't have as much of an antagonistic relationship to the rebel forces as was shown in the teaser.
