What movie absolutely deserved a sequel?

I mean this question could have a thousand movies come to your mind but I want you to dig deep here and find ONE movie that was phenomenal in your opinion that left the door completely wide open for a sequel and for some reason, they scrapped the entire project without giving us closure on the characters.

I was recently dragged to see the new predator movie. Now, I walked out of this and I rarely walk out of movies but it completely missed me. I was counting the minutes after 15-20 went by which is a clear indicator that the movie just wasn’t registering in my brain.

But one question came to my mind on the ride home that I blurted out to my friend and he completely agreed. Why tf did they not greenlight predators 2 with Adrien Brody? That movie was absolutely awesome. The entire cast was incredible and they all delivered. Now there are a lot more movies I can think of but it’s always bothered me that they never gave us a second one, Brody and Isabelle survived and we never got closure as to what came of them.
