Doom, Resident Evil. Ninja Gaiden, Silent Hill, God of War. It seems every long running franchise that undergoes any type of change or innovation is subject to this debate.
Where do you stand on it? Do you think its important for games to change and innovate? Do you think game series need to stick to their core identity and gameplay that drew their initial fanbase in? Do yout think its as simple as they named it Silent Hill so its a Silent Hill game, no arguments? How do you feel about this debate, I'm curious to hear others opinions.
