By skyforbes I randomly lurk here out of morbid curiosity, but like, this is something I still haven’t figured out.
I know for some people this is just gambling and they have no illusions that what they are doing has positive EV.
Other people on the other hand genuinely think they can make a living this way. I am not going to try to talk to people out of it, but for people who make major bets on stocks, like, what do you think your edge is? Why do you think you can be smarter than the market on heavily traded stocks?
I realize you cannot ask this question without seeming like you are trolling but I am genuinely curious.
