Why doesn’t Die Hard 2 ever get mentioned in these repetitive “christmas movie” lists?

I watch Die Hard 2 every Christmas and find it ages like a fine wine. I prefer watching it to Die Hard (although can appreciate DH is the more accomplished film). Here's some stuff I love about it:

– Rather than McClane being alone (or talking to a the outside cop), he here's consistently battling against the airport authority. That's fun and interesting to watch – the antagonism, insults, them gradually realising he's right.

– I love how the threat emerges gradually, rather than with the sudden takeover of DH. In DH2, its awesome how McClane notices the two suspicious guys, follows them to the baggage place, then investigates more to understand what's actually going on.

– Excellent action set-pieces, which feel more varied and dynamic than the ones in Die Hard.

– I love the red/orange/sepia/black/white colour grading. It has a nice cosy vibe, and does have some excellent photography. Also, the same soundtrack from DH.

– Awesome climax, I prefer it to DH.
