Why don’t we talk more about Steve Cropper when we mention the greatest guitarists of all time?

Every list argues about Hendrix, Clapton, Page… but somehow Steve Cropper, the guy behind so many iconic riffs, barely gets mentioned.
How is he still underrated after shaping half of soul and R&B?
