Wild Tea On The Bachchan–Kapoor Heir Drama!

This tea is very much legit from a close source to the groups mentioned below. The tea is wild!

It looks like two very connected Bollywood families are spiraling through the exact same regressive mess.

Everyone knows the Bachchan household has been… tense. But while people blame the usual “personality clashes,” the real issue is way more disturbing.

Aishwarya Rai is reportedly not on speaking terms with most of the Bachchans, and while problems existed earlier, what really pushed things over is the fact that she didn’t give the family a son!

The obsession with “who will carry the Bachchan surname forward” apparently became a huge source of conflict. Aaradhya was adored as a baby, but once it became clear that Aishwarya wouldn’t be having more children, the vibe allegedly shifted, and not subtly. Add Shweta Bachchan Nanda into the mix, and things reportedly went from bad to worse.

Shweta, conveniently, has a son, which has now made her the golden child of the family. Ironic since her kids don’t even carry the Bachchan surname.

What’s even funnier is that historically Shweta had repeatedly said in interviews that she would never let her kids enter Bollywood because of what Abhishek went through. Most of those interviews have mysteriously vanished, except the ones insisting Navya won’t act. She now sees an opportunity to “grab power and clout” and is okay with Agastya acting. This obsession also explains why Abhishek is constantly pushed to “represent the Bachchans” professionally, while Aishwarya works far less. She could do more, but apparently she doesn’t want her daughter exposed to people who treat her like a disappointment. Her mom is also unwell and can’t lean on her either. Meanwhile, Abhishek’s involvement as a hands-on father is almost non-existent.

To make matters worse, the Bachchans aren’t the only ones clinging to a male heir fantasy. The same story is unfolding on Shweta’s in-laws side of the family. The Kapoor family. They are putting the exact same pressure on Alia Bhatt to produce a son. Apparently, even she was shocked about this, she knew the Kapoors were traditional, but not this backwards. Ranbir has allegedly joined the chorus too, conveniently pulling out Hindu mythology references to justify the demand. Which is wild, considering Alia grew up with a sister herself. Alia will comply with this, as she’s known to be a pushover. Even Karan Johar had a talk with her and explained to her why he HAD to adopt a boy.

Neetu Singh is said to be the main driver behind this. She wants the Kapoor heir to come only from Ranbir, not Zahaan Kapoor. The rest of the family, in her words, “doesn’t matter.” The heir must come from Ranbir. She even wants them to name the baby Rishi.

To make things messier, the Kapoors don’t like the Nandas and absolutely don’t want Agastya being seen as Raj Kapoor’s successor, especially since he doesn’t carry the Kapoor surname. Infact someone at the filming of the new Netflix show Dining With The Kapoors had asked why Navya was there. Agastya is now being used as a case study for the Kapoors in terms of what not to become. A false and compromised hope of carrying a family name forward, without having the actual family name.

Meanwhile Shweta is all about Agastya becoming the poster boy for the Bachchan-Kapoor heir, funny enough, even PR teams don’t want to use this information to promote him, as even they find it laughable and far fetched.

Welcome to Bollywood where they pretend to be westernized only through their clothing and pseudo-intellectualism.
