A new Windows 11 KB5044285 update is now available for download, focusing on improving security within the OS. Released as part of the October 2024 Patch Tuesday updates, this upgrade moves Windows 11 to Build 22631.4317. It delivers critical bug fixes, security enhancements, and overall performance improvements. Additionally, the update addresses several key issues in Windows 11 version 23H2, making it essential to install for the best experience.

The latest update brings several new features and fixes to enhance Windows functionality. The Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles have also been updated for certain mobile operators. Lastly, the update fixes the problem where users were repeatedly prompted for their PIN when opening encrypted emails in Outlook and resolves an issue where Work Folders files failed to sync when Microsoft Defender for Endpoint was active.
