You might make fun of me for this but…

Me, a man in his 30’s, thinks that Regretting You is actually a really good movie. I saw it when there was younger people present, and the girls especially were quite into the movie, audibly gasping or reacting to certain parts.I rewatched (mostly) it yesterday at home.

Maybe it’s cuz I rarely watch romcoms that I found it to be so good. But it’s just such a good plot, it’s heartbreaking and funny and relatable, and the characters really sell their emotions. It doesn’t make sense that Dave Franco and Allison Williams didn’t end up together first. But aside from that, the movie is just a whirlwind of emotions, and even though McKenna Grace is totally obnoxious at times, the acting is also good. Allison Williams drinking wine on the couch, crying, going to bat on her ex husbands car. Like it’s just a sweet feel good movie that also makes you feel sad at times

Go ahead and make fun of me if you mist, but that’s probably my most unexpected opinion this year in movies.
