Your experience using ChatGPT as a therapist?

I've been using ChatGPT for the past 6mo or so to explore new therapy styles ( protip: ask ChatGPT to give you a therapy intake questionnaire)

I actually made some notable breakthroughs with a custom IFS chat, that I don't think I could have made with CBT (my previous go-to). I've been using it as 50% journalling tool – 50% CBT/IFS education tool.

All obvious "ai therapy" disclaimers aside, I'd love to learn about anyone who is actively using ChatGPT for therapy responsibly, such as:

– custom prompts

– avoiding agreeableness

– features you wish chatGPT had

– tips on keeping managing chats

Full disclosure, I'm building an AI mental health app that helps you "try on" different therapy styles in interactive voice calls. I'm trying to learn about what people think is missing from ChatGPT so I can focus on solving those problems. It's matchya.app if you wanna check it out 🙂
