Due to a really tough market in my field, I've been unemployed for awhile and I now qualify for a Medicaid Managed Care Plan through New York State of Health. My options are:
–Healthfirst
–MetroPlus Health Plan
–Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Health Plan
–EmblemHealth Enhanced Care
–Fidelis Care
–Molina Healthcare
–United Healthcare of NY, Inc.
Unfortunately, none of my current health providers (including dentist) accept Medicaid plans. (I use One Medical.)
I'm a 55yo male based in upper Manhattan, in excellent health and currently with low needs for medical support. My hope is to find employment within the next 6 months so I could have enough income to transition to an essential plan (if freelancing) or an employer plan if perm and go back to my old providers. So currently I'm looking for a plan that has a decent enough network of providers that should I need medical attention during this time, I can get quality care without too much difficulty.
Does anyone here have recent experience with these Medicaid plans and have recommendations? Many thanks!
